Michelle Blackmer

Michelle sees patients across the lifespan from school age to geriatric for psychiatric medication management. Her passion is for Women’s Mental Health as she worked and taught Labor and Delivery for over 15 years and was a Women’s Health NP before returning to school at Rush University in Chicago for Psychiatry. She took advanced classes in Women’s Health and Perinatal Psychopharmacology through Massachusetts General and Harvard, as well as Postpartum Support International. She also has a special place in her heart for those with developmental disabilities which is why she treats many of our local DD homes’ clientele. She works very closely with the therapists on every aspect of our patient’s care, especially with children and adults who have a history of trauma. She has 25 years’ experience as an FNP and 9 years’ experience as a Psychiatric Advance Practice Nurse, with 8 of those years in our local area. Her experience as a medical educator provides a unique treatment approach to patient care. She focuses on not only providing exceptional individualized care but also in taking the time needed to inform the patient about their mental health and ways for improvement.  

Steve Braasch

Steve Braasch, M.S.Ed., LCPC earned his advanced graduate degree in Counselor Education from Western Illinois University in Moline, Illinois. His undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology was earned from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Steve has unique experience with the school system, serving as a School Counselor for 11 years and as a leader and mentor for other Counselors. He has gained extensive experience in working with children with anxiety, depression, trauma related concerns, divorce adjustment, ADHD, mood disorders, defiance concerns, grief, and many other behavioral health concerns. Steve also offers EMDR to treat PTSD and other struggles. Medicare patients- please note that we will be able to bill services to Medicare starting in January 2024. Each patient will have to work out the details for qualifying as a Medicare provider.

Christina Lutz

Christina Lutz, M.S.Ed., LCPC earned her advanced graduate degree in Counseling from Northern Illinois University. Her undergraduate degree in Psychology was also earned at Northern Illinois University. Christina currently provides mental health support, therapy, and psychoeducation to clients ages pre-teen through adults. Sessions include a thorough assessment, diagnosis, appropriate referrals and psychiatric medication monitoring. She has knowledge of medication management after experience with a psychiatrist for over a decade, brain trauma, developmental disabilities, severe mental illness, substance abuse, Day Treatment programs, support groups, individual counseling with a variety of diagnosis, and training as a QIDP and in EMDR. Medicare patients- please note that we will be able to bill services to Medicare starting in January 2024. Each patient will have to work out the details for qualifying as a Medicare provider.

 

Crystle Liebhart Meggenberg

Crystle is board certified in Adult and Geriatric Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health. She has over 10 years experience in patient care as a registered nurse and she possesses a consistent drive to learn, explore expand and improve her skills even more. We are proud to welcome Crystle to our Behavior Health Services team!

 

Jessica West

Jessi West is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with vast experience from working in a wide array of institutions in the mental health field. Jessi uses a strengths-based approach to therapy and believes that the client is the expert of their life, not her. She likes to tailor her approach to the needs of the individual client and works to make sure each client feels safe, supported, and respected. Jessi has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families. She enjoys working with people of all ages. She works with a variety of issues, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, self-esteem/identity issues, self-harm, blended family/co-parenting issues, attachment disorders, divorce, and family issues. Jessi is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process traumas and other life stressors.
